3 out of 5 stars

This is the third book in the  The Witch Next Door Series. I would call it a cozy paranormal mystery series and so far I have been enjoying it quite a bit as a pallet cleanser between more challenging books.

We are following our two main characters Lily ( a witch) and Romeo (a werewolf) as they follow clues left by Lily's mother who is also a witch, missing and considered dead by most everyone. In this installment we travel across South America and make contact with numerous "magicals" along the way.

The writing is good...not great but good. I felt myself getting a little annoyed by the immaturity of Lily and Romeo. They are young adults but read often as young teens in my opinion.

The spice level in this series is surprisingly mild and while I am no prude and can enjoy reading about a good magical romp in the hay....the lack of such content has actually been rather refreshing.

Will I continue the series....I am already listening to the next!
